Some magic dust for all of you....

Here is what I came up with....

How could I manage to use buttons on this card? I couldn't!

Then I figured out =) I made a button of shrink plastic
together with the sentiment.

Nearly forgot to show you this...

Earlier this year I was published in the norwegian magazine "Ett Trykk". I made a card with a stamp from the Pixie Cottage stamp line. And I was the first who had been published with a creation with a Pixie Stamp! A great honor!!! Of course I sent the magazine to the greatest boss ever!

Tidligere i år var jeg så heldig å få et kort publisert i bladet "Ett trykk". Jeg hadde laget et kort med et stempel fra the Pixie Cottage. Og jeg ble faktisk den aller første som fikk publisert en kreasjon med stempel fra "oss". Og det i seg selv er jo en stor ære =) Bladet ble selvfølgelig sendt til Michelle, verdens beste sjef!

Something sweet....

It's time for a new challenge over at the Pixie Cottage . This time we have a beautiful sketch designed by Pam and the optional theme "something sweet". I have made a pink christmas card, isn't that sweet? *LOL* But the image "Playful Penguins" is really sweet don't you think?

Da er det tid for en ny utfordring hos the Pixie Cottage. Hvis du lurer på hvorfor det er så lenge siden jeg har laget et kort for the Pixie Cottage så er det fordi jeg har valgt og "gå ned" til en junior possisjon. Og da får jeg forhåpentlig vis tid til å lage noen kort med de ti-talls ubrukte stemplene mine også, håper jeg.... Men nå er det the Pixie Cottage det dreier seg om! Ukas utfordring er en flott skisse designet av Pam og/eller temaet "noe søtt".

Dette ble et veldig rosa kort! Og jeg har ikke vært grådig med glitterlimet heller! *knis* Kortet er laget i anledning ukas utfordring hos the Pixie Cottage. Vi har en ny gjest sammen med oss som har laget en kjempeflott skisse.

This card turned out very pink! And I have used a lot of glitter glue too! *giggle* I have made this card for this weeks challenge at the Pixie Cottage. We have a talented guest sketcher with us this week too. Her sketch is just beautiful, and fun to work with.

The challenge this week is the skets and/or the theme "Feeling blue". Hope to see your card at this weeks challenge =)

A new Pixie Cottage card!

Hvor dagene har blitt av i den siste tiden, det vet ikke jeg. Her har det vært forberedelse til konfirmasjon i mange dager. Det er jo kjempkoselig å ordne i stand til fest, men slitsomt også.

Bordkortene er i boks og de var ferdige 48 timer før de skal brukes. Ikke verst!? Og jeg har til og med fått til å dikte en sang til henne. Og nå jeg har bare 1 kake igjen å bake =) og selvfølgelig må jeg stryke bunadsskjorta, som jeg gleder meg! du tok vel ironien *knis*

Time flies! and I don't know where. I have done some preparetion for the big celebrating this weekend. My daughter have her confirmation =) And the name plates for the table was done 48 hours befor use. Not bad!? I have written a song for her as well. And I just have the shirt for her national costume to iron... and one more cake to make.

This week the Pixie Cottage have a challenge to make your own charm, and of course a sketch. I have used some shrinking plastic for my charm. / Denne uka har utfordrer the Pixie Cottage deg til å lage en egen charm og selvfølgelig en skisse. Jeg har brukt krymeplast for å lage min charm.

My take on the sketch....


Jeg har brukt stempelet Baby Blake fra the Pixie Cottages egen kolleksjo. Og som vanlig har jeg malt med Distress Ink.

Nå må jeg ile avsted og gjøre de siste oppgavene, men jeg føler at jeg er i rute på et vis =) Bortsett fra at jeg ikke har laget kort til henne enda... hjeeeelp! Det er noe i ordtaket "skomakerens barn".


I have used the stamp Baby Blake from the Pixie Cottages collection. And as usual I have painted the motiv with Distress Ink.


Off to do the rest of the preparetion, and guess what.... I haven't made her a card yet!!!

Hannah with butterflies

Dette Hannah stempelet fra the Pixie Cottage's kolleksjon er nok en av mine favoritter. Jeg har en svakhet for sommerfugler og Hannah er jo kjempesøt.

This Hannah stamp is one of my favorites from the Pixe Cottage's collection. I love butterflies and Hannah is adorable.

Tutorial for envelope card.

I have made my first tutorial for the Pixie Cottage this week. This card is simple to make and I hope you will give it a try. If you make an envelope card it would be fun if you told us so in a comment on the Pixie Cottage blog.

Jeg har laget min aller første tutorial for the Pixie Cottage denne uken. Jeg valgte konvoluttkort da det er lett å forklare og lett å lage. Men jeg synes ikke disse kortene bører preg av hastverk av den grunn. De er også veldig morsomme å dekorere =)

Det hadde vært gøy om du la igjen en link i Pixie Cottage bloggen hvis du lager et kort ut i fra denne beskrivelsen.

Over to the tutorial....

Over til forklaringen....

All you need is a 12" x 12" double sided design paper and a double sided tape. You can use a sewing machine if you don't want to use tape, and to make pretty folds you can use a bone folder.
Alt du trenger er et 12" x 12" dobbeltsidig mønsterark og dobbelsidig tape. Du kan bruke symaskin i stedet for tape om du vil, og en bone folder hjelper deg til å lage flotte bretter.

Step 1
Fold the paper in the middle, and open it again.

Brett papiret i to, og åpne det igjen.

Step 2
Turn it 90 degrees and fold it in the middle again. (Now you have folds who marks the center of the paper.)

Snu papiret 90 grader og brett det i to. (Nå har du fått en brett som markerer midten av papiret.)

Step 3
Fold all four corners into the center of the paper.

Brett alle fire hjørnene inn mot midten.

Your card should look like this at this point.....

Kortet skal nå se slik ut.....

Step 4
Turn around the paper so the folds are downward.

Snu arket så foldene ligger ned mot underlaget.



Step 5
Make a new fold in the middle.

Lag en brett på midten.



Step 6
You are now ready to glue it together or do as I prefere, use a sewing machine.

Nå er kortet klart til å limes sammen eller du kan gjøre som jeg foretrekker, sy med maskin.



Step 7
Are you going to use a sewing machine it's smart to start sewing at the top of the tip. If you do it that way you can hide the tread from the start and ending under the tape. See the next picture.
(It's not needed to sew the bottom, but I prefere to sew all the way around the envelope.)

Hvis du bruker symaskinen så er det smart å begynne på toppen av flippen. Da kan du gjemme trådendene under tapen etterpå. Se neste bilde. (Det er jo strengt tatt ikke nødvendig å sy bunnen, men jeg synes sømmen er veldig dekorativ.)




After you have added double sided tape or done the sewing it is finished, and ready for decorating.

Etter at du har limt flippene sammen eller brukt symaskina , så er kortet ferdig til dekorering.



Step 8
I use double sided tape to add a ribbon/lace on the middle for clousure. (And the tread on the tip is hidden under the tape.)

Jeg bruker dobbelsidig tape til å feste bånd/blonde som skal fungere som lukkemekanisme.
(Som nevnt så er trådendene nå gjemt under tapen.)

You can write text direct into the envelope card or make a extra card to put inside.
My card measure 4" x 8 "

Du kan skrive teksten direkte inni kortet eller lage et ekstra kort for å putte inni.
Mitt kort måler 4" x 8"

Some like to cover the back with another piece of paper. I think it's pretty as it is.

Noen velger å dekke baksiden med et annet papir, men jeg synes det er fin slik det er.
